Going forward, this blog is going to focus only on rock based one hit wonders from the 1950's through the 1990's. Rock music has changed a lot throughout the years and music that was considered rock in the 1950's, may not sound like the type of rock music that people are used to now. The Bell Notes recorded just 16 songs and only one song "I've Had it" became a hit. The song genre is considered early Rock N' Roll. This song sounds a little different than rock music that people would listen to today because it sounds like a mix of Rock, Bluegrass, and Doo-Woop. The song includes maracas which most rock songs do not have and it also was calmer and had a slower pace than what people are used to now.

The band formed in the late 1950's and only lasted until 1962. After the band broke up singer/guitarist Ray Ceroni continued composing music for several decades, and his songs were performed by other artists. The drummer for the band John Casey, put out an album called "Gimme Sheltie" in March 2020. The Vocalist/Saxophone player of the band Carl Bonura, continued composing music for many decades and other artists used his songs like Ray Ceroni. The band, which also included bass player Lenny Giambalvo and Pianist Peter Kane, only lasted a few years but their songs have re-surfaced and gained popularity in more recent years.
