The band Mountain was an American rock band from 1969-1972. Although the band was well received at Woodstock they did not appear in the film about the event.

Mountain wrote the song "Mississippi Queen" in 1970 which became a top 30 hit in the U.S. The song is about a woman who teaches a singer about the ways of love.

The song has been covered by the Foo Fighters and Miranda Lambert.

I think that this song was a hit because of the loud and very recognizable guitar riff.
