The next one hit wonder that we will be exploring is Buffalo Springfield's "For What It's Worth". The song came out in 1966 and was written by lead singer Stephen Stills. The song is about young kids protesting anti-loitering laws. "For What It's Worth" was also partially written because the youth were mad about a popular nightclub in Hollywood closing. This is often played in modern times at social justice events. The song was also sung at the Democratic National Convention in 2020. "For What It's Worth" has very unique and recognizable guitar riffs.
The band recorded 3 albums in total, but only "For What It's Worth" made the top 40. The song reached #7 on the billboard charts. Their next most popular song, "Rock 'n' Roll Woman", only went to #44 which makes Buffalo Springfield a one hit wonder!
